PW(ES)I was created following the experience of its founder,
Trevor Phillips-Williams, of trying to set up his first business in 1983. He
discovered that although help was offered by various government sponsored
bodies, most of the input was theoretical and delivered in the main by people
who "had never actually done it" or had tried and failed. Participation in
these programmes did assist in focusing development but there was little of the
realistic advice and coaching/mentoring that can only come from up to date
personal experience.
He also found that although organisations such as the high street
banks, accountants etc. promoted themselves as "helping" small businesses, it
did not take too long to realise that their main remit was to sell their wares
often with very little effective help. PW(ES)I was created to address this
perceived need to provide realistic help to create and develop successful small
businesses world wide.
In view of this, the policy of PW(ES)I is to only utilise the
services of associate trainers, consultants, mentors and coaches who earn their
living from the subject in which they specialise. Consequently all our
programmes deliver personal up to date experience, rather than the academic
theory so often delivered by the many organisations offering similar training
and consultancy!
Our associates have also been assessed and trained to deliver
their input effectively. |

PW(ES)I offers help to all types of small business, but it
specialises in Tourism and the artistic type of industries - dancers,
designers, actors, trainers, coaches, consultants etc. - anyone in fact who is
actually the product.
Our message is "You Must Control." Our motto is "Fun,
Freedom and Profit"
As well as training and development, PW(ES)I offers the provision
of one to one management services for micro businesses and SME's including
book-keeping and accounting, market research, marketing, business planning,
company formation, Import and Export, Tax and VAT planning, VAT,
Self-Assessment Tax, investigations and troubleshooting.
It also organises Micro Trade Missions to various overseas
countries in order to assist new entrepreneurs into the benefits of exporting.

In order that delegates make the best use of the learning they
have gained through us, PW(ES)I always offers an ongoing Helpline to all
delegates after they have attended a programme for as long as it is needed.
This allows the programme to be cascaded into the new business as and when it
is needed. It also acts as a reminder at the time it is most needed. |
